Fracturing my hip and wrist at the age of 51 due to Osteoporosis was a life changing event for me, one that had been a long time coming but I had ignored family history and all the early warning signs. From the age of 18 I had a weight issue and developed a dysfunctional relationship with food and how pressure to look a certain way can lead to a spiral of quick fix diets, that are a world away from a healthy and enjoyable food experience.

Our bodies are incredible and are a marvellous example of evolution and we only get one! So it's imperative we  look after ourselves, this means feeding our bodies with  the right fuel source and the right time to match our lifestyle goals whether this is a fitness goal or simply living life to the full. We are all individuals, and have individual needs. The Power Bar ethos is simple - we strive to enable our customers to embrace a healthier way of life through eating healthier versions of the foods they love.

Having completed a level 3 diploma in fitness instructing & personal training , I then enhanced this qualification with a Level 3 Nutrition for Sports & Exercise Performance to give further insight and support to customers with specific fitness goals.
